Call for Nominations for the 2012 Meeto Memorial Award
- ANHAD (Act Now for Harmony and Democracy) and Sangat, a South Asian feminist network, are now inviting nominations for the Meeto Memorial Award for the year 2012. The Award comprises of Indian Rupees one lakh, a citation and a memento. The recipients of the Award will be chosen by a selection committee whose decision will be final. Sangat India Gathering & Intergenerational Feminist Dialogues

An assembly towards a union of South Asian peoples
- Some 300 people from across South Asia from social movements, civil society organisations, labour unions, peasant organisations, women’s groups, ecologists and human rights activists gathered in New Delhi from 20th April to 23rd April, 2010 as part of the process of a ‘Peoples SAARC’ to forge a vision for a union of South Asian peoples'.

Sangat felicitates four women activists; celebrates Women’s Day with a ballet
- To celebrate 100 years of International Women’s Day and decades of South Asian women’s solidarity, four civil society groups – Asmita, Jagori, Kriti and Sangat – joined hands to honour four courageous women activists who have challenged different patriarchal traditions and religious norms that have oppressed women.

South Asian Women's Day 2009
- To forge in women across South Asia a common identity as South Asians and as women facing similar patriarchy-related concerns, to pledge for peace, justice, human rights and democracy and to celebrate our respective achievements, women from different South Asian countries decided in 2002 to celebrate 30th November as South Asian Women’s Day.

The Meeto Memorial Award for young South Asians 2009
- To commemorate the brief but brilliant life of Meeto or Kamaljit Bhasin-Malik (1978-2006), a scholar, activist and dancer, Meeto’s mother, Kamla Bhasin has decided to institute an award in her memory to honour young South Asians whose work demonstrates a commitment to communal harmony, peace, justice and human rights.
